Will this demo be available in GERMANY as well ?

We have some really stupid law for "Killergames" where some games are only allowed at 18 years of age ( which I have no problem with, I am well over 18 ) - but for some reason Microsoft decided instead of having an age check ( which they could easily do )  to just NOT make Gears of War Demos or similar "Killergames" available for anyone in Germany via the Marketplace.

So again - will this be avaible in Germany for Gold Members as well?

If it isn't just make a new account with your country of residence as the US or UK. Someone on here will give you an address you can use. Then once it's downloaded you can switch back to your regular account and you'll still be able to play the demo.

Not positive, but everything i've heard states that the game falls into that category and is banned in germany.  But from my experience, couldn't you just drive an hour or two west and pick it up elsewhere?  Or did they do something to the region to make it inoperable on germany regioned systems?  Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Yeah already done that for the free GoW Maps - problem is even if I wish to purchase a GOLD membership with my German Creditcard I can't. I do have a US Silver account for these kinds of things - just wish I could have a GOLD US Account to be able to get stuff.

Getting the FINAL game is usually no problem at all - because stores are allowed to sell them to someone who's 18+ - I am just refering to DEMOS and some other free stuff at the marketplace.

whew...I'm back.  Thanks to the Agency's advanced cloning techniques the man (PR) couldn't keep me down very long.

The demo will hit marketplace on Tuesday (the 23rd) at 2am pacific time.
