Re: Updated: Crackdown Title Update - Save Game Issue Fixed
And to completely backtrack to the original topic of deleted games :P....
I understand some of you are annoyed about losing your saves and what not, heck i would be, but at the same time, it doesn't take a huge amount of time to get back to maxed stats.
When i first got the game, i played for near enough 2 days solid (my xbox red ringed in the process - not unusual in itself). Either way after i'd done that and killed all the gang leaders, a friend got the game and i started eye'ing the co-op achievements (mainly the 1 for killing all gang leaders). At this point there was no reset gangs option, and I hadn't realised that he could host and we'd still get the points. Either way i deleted my save and went through the game again. To get everything back to 4 star seemed to take no time at all (especially given i was just killing bosses and not really watching the skill bars). Granted the orbs was a bit more of a pain in the neck, and i still haven't got all 800, but i didn't have that many in the first place.
I guess it just depends how you look at things. You see hours lost and all those precious achievement points that you were 1/2 orbs away from, I see a golden opportunity to play a great game over again...
And as for the thread - it might aswell be deleted / unstickied aye, it just causes more trouble when people come to the forum and start reading thinking "oh my gawd all of ma files gonna b deleted" (insert hick / child voice as appropriate)

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming
Hey guys, three months later we're still seeing issues with this. May be something entirely different, but:
My 360 got the ol' ring'o'death, and I had to send it in. They of course sent me a new/refurbished one back "to save time" etc. I have a live gold account, and my GF has a silver, but she was always able to play my DLC.
After starting the console up again, she decided to jump into a game of Crackdown and bust some heads (don't be jealous ^_^), but to her dismay, she got a message stating that her content was either invalid or corrupt, and her character's stats were completely reset. We rebooted, we re-downloaded the content on BOTH profiles (which caused her to have to pay MORE MS points) and still, no change. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming
Hey guys. I think this has happened to my game now. I've not been on in a while, last time I was on was with a mate who was using the keys to the city option. I just booted up this morning and my game is as it was - ie 2/3rds of the missions complete, but my character's stats are all back down at zero. :(
Is there a fix?

It takes a bl**dy long time if you're gaming time consists of no more than an hour or so a week. If there's no workaround to fix it then sadly crackdown will be going to the blockbusters trade in bin. :(

Very odd. This happened to my mate on XBL yesterday, yet the fix was apparently ages ago?

Re: Updated: Crackdown Title Update - Save Game Issue Fixed
I just had this issue HUGE BUG occurs to my save game. My game was all up to date and when I joined a friend’s co-op time trials game and all my stats were gone. Now I cannot even go through the time trials with my friends because my character so weak.
They quickly turned a happy customer into extremely unhappy one. I most likely will not buy anymore Real Time World games because of this.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming
Just a quick reply to the few posts deriding the requests for swords and sword-like melee weapons in Crackdown 2. Something to consider is that throughout history swords have been symbolic in many ways. In Japanese history, swordsmen were revered. In modern Japan, the sword is often a symbol of respect and dedication. In modern American society, the sword holds little importance, this I understand.
However, consider the futuristic movies and books we watch and read. Swords are again held in high regards in many of these settings. Star Wars used the light saber as a "weapon of elegance". However, there are many reasons why swords might be used by gang members in situations where ammo might be limited or other various reasons.
Also, police officers carry a baton or night stick. Perhaps a sword or knife would be appropriate as a sidearm/backup to firing a weapon in a crowded street where simple fisticuffs may not be effective.
In closing, the sword has become ingrained, not only in gaming cultures, but in many of societies niche groups. Therefore the desire to have a soldier/agent/police officer who cares such a weapon seems much legitimate than you claim. That's just my two cents...

Re: Updated: Crackdown Title Update - Save Game Issue Fixed
Yeah, Thanks the thought of your file being deleted was abit upsetting, But I do have one question, why doesn't the agenty have a boat? I get the idea nothing going on in the water, but wouldn't be something to bring more of a challenge if the bad guys had access to a boat aswell, I mean they've shown it on one of the video importing weapons. I just think it would be cool, Thanks.
