Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

    Soy:
    one more quick question.

when I got home from work, I dl'd the content without the game in my tray while surfing the marketplace.

do I need to make sure to do the steps you mentioned even though I was never prompted with the disc?  same rules apply? (save a quick solo game without dying)

EDIT: and is it the pay pack or the free pack or either?

This is Agent G's baby, but he's no doubt busy, so I'll answer this one.  The disc shouldn't recognize the new DLC, and it'll tell you that it's a corrupt file.  You download the update first, anyway, otherwise the DLC won't work.  The update tells Crackdown that this new DLC is viable.

YES, follow the steps he posted for you just to be safe.  The glitch is actually in the update anyway, and not in the DLC so it shouldn't matter whether it's the free or premium pack.

    EDIT:
    Agent G:

    Thlayli:
Do we download the new content before or after the numbered steps?

It doesn't matter.  The hiccup is related to the title update, not the DLC.  Just follow the above instructions when you get pinged the title update.  The key is to save your game in a single player game right after you get the title update.

    Question agent G!!!,

I put my disc in this morning downloaded the TU, got to the main menu and exited out of the game. I then put both DLC's in my download queue and shut down the xbox to low power mode.

I came home this afternoon started up crackdown and then went into play the game and have saved since then, Am i good to go on the Co-op now then?

I am just wanting to make sure that my situation falls in line with your instructions before i lose stuff!

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

the bug seems to be when people get the TU / DLC and then hop right into a co-op match. so, as long as after u get the TU / DLC, u play a solo campaign and quit (saving) regardless how long you play til quiting BEFORE you hop into a co-op match, you'll be fine.

NOTE: only hasta be done the 1st time.

Before I EVER hop into a co-op match?
Like I have to do these steps each time?

    Or just that first time?

Guys, just to let you all know...I followed the instructions , oddly enough i did it that way by accident, but it worked. Went in and played solo a while then i figured "what the hell...I'll give it a shot" so i joine da co op and waddaya know. No issues. Follow Agent Gs instructions and your good to go.

Thanx G and all at RealTime for the quick responses....and big ups to Drk for his/her help too

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

I appear to have done everything different to everybody else.

    1. Updated Title

    2. Downloaded content

    3. Played solo

    4. Friend joined my solo game (therefore making my console save (I think) and making another gameroom launch)

    5. Got ratpack achievement then I decided to rehost a room with bosses reset

    6. He joins said room - both earn body armour achiement

    7. My modem messes up or something, kicks him out, i obviously save and leave by default.

    8. I turn off modem and 360 in order to fix it.

    9. He rejoins my new room with everything wiped. I am still safe till this very moment.

Can anybody tell me how safe I am in contrast to this bug?
    Thanks in advance.

Steady, when you played the game in single game mode (step 3) you likely saved your game here.  Your buddy on the other hand may have joined you straightaway without saving in the single player campaign.  You are fine, but it's not good news for your friend.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

I suggest if you haven't played today, DONT DO ANYTHING!  Wait until the official fix comes out.  Cause who knows with RTW!  I recommend they release the Gettin Busy Bonus Pack for free!

I hope you're right Agent G - Hurray for unintentional actions (on my part).

Also, thanks a lot for your lightning response time and I wish you guys good luck with the upcoming patching.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

Is the title update also responsible for the narrator keeping telling me a friend needs my help? I hadn't played the game in about 6 or 8 weeks, and I happened to do what you recommended without having seen I needed to do so. Every time I play though, even though I'm playing solo, none of my friends or even the people in my recently played with list are playing Crackdown - the narrator still keeps telling me I need to help my friend take on a key gang member(text notice of this pops up near the top too). I hope the next title update addresses this too.

Right on Agent G! Your the man!

I probably sounded newbish but Sorry I got my agent maxed out and worked hard for it! I got the achievement yeah, but  I want my agent to stay tht way. I didn't want to make any single risk of losing that.

I was already quesy the other day when I upgraded my HDD to the 120HDD I had heard some people has files and saves (not crackdown perse their 360 games in general) get corrupted!

Agent G You need to be paid more man!
