Crackdown

MAN! What a solid read-threw! All 12 pages, ugh. Before I reply I just want to express my sympathy for those who have lost data. Data loss with collections/built characters hurts so bad.

 

I downloaded both the Free and Pay packets from my Dashboard before booting the game and doing the title update. My first priority wasn't to join anyone in co-op or to resurect my gangs, I read about the sound que and had to find my last 18 hidden orbs. I'm now down to 12 and can hear them from a building away. I gotta Luis and Clark this whole island soon. My stats are fine, but what I do notice is the announcer has reset his audio. First time I jumped he told me "Right now you can jump about 10 feet, but imagine the possibilities!" I cleared a building with my maxed out jump. Now he keeps bugging me to retake supply points every minute or so (I have them all). I went online to see what people thought of the DLC and found this horror. I called my buddies with the game and warned them.

 

How about this:

 

Everybody who wants Crackdown pretty much has it and has already maxed out their agent. If RTW wants those hurt by their mistake to be happy they should create a cheat code for REGULAR games (Non-KTTC) that allows "accelorated agent development" from the demo, ALSO set the audio que for orbs to FULL so they can re-find them quickly, WITHOUT DISABLING ACHIEVEMENTS. This way everybody hurt can spent the next 20-30 minutes having fun blasting away and get back their maxed agent back and find their lost orb spoiles.

 

Does that sound like a solution for those hurt?

What an absolute joke. This is a *** up of huge proportions. I demand something in compansation instantly from RTW or this game is getting traded in without a second thought.

they cudnt care less if you traded it in someone i going to buy it arent they they will get money so they dont care      and wot bout halo 3 tht has been set as compensation think bout it we have got 4 days till we cud have months to even see a glimpse of the gameplay but we have been supplied with the beta by our friends at RTW   so chill dude just start again nuthin wrong wit that cos wot better than goin through the experience of playin the game all over it is funny

i think it is funny to see how puny your character used to be and goin through the stages laughin ya hed off at how u need to kick some1 5 times to kill them and like 20  when playin with friends unaffected by the bug and needing to use a sport car to keep up with them it is hilariusly funnt ull see just try it out every1

 

 

Yea i had this prob to which im srry to get mad but this pissed me the *** off i was brousing the market place and i seen this key to the city stuff and so i decided to dl it cause i had already maxed out my skills and killed all the bosses and had over half the hidden orbs and bout 350 of the agility orbs so i was goin to dl it to see wat else i didnt know about or have i started the dl and stopped it before it even got 1% cause this was my first time that i had dl ne thing and i didnt know that u couldnt close out of that screen and still dl it but i closed out and didnt dl it but today when i got on to play i had ur guys prob ----> http://forums.crackdownoncrime.com/forums/thread/29866.aspx<---- ( my topic i didnt know u guys had one started) but it would be really nice if they could some way at least give us all our skills back cause it is hard to get all ur skills back when there are no more gang members and im not startn from the beginging jus cause of the plain fact that this is like my 3rd time beating it cause somehow when i killed the shai gen bosses or the volk before i killed the los it didnt save that i killed them so i had to restart so i do not want to beat it for a 4th time cause its boring so like i said it would be nice if like everyone that posted here bout this prob the crackdown ppl could like see wat there microsoft id is and max there stats on this game or the easier way make a cheat to max out all skills or sometin idc as long as i get my skills back wich prob wont happen 

wow, this sucks for all of you, i'd be pissed. But I'll leave my sympathies aside, I can see reading through your posts that everybody has been sympathetic and that's enough for me.

My question is...has this been patched yet? I guess I can't really tell if all of the incidents are from yesterday, and maybe they've been fixed by today...I don't honestly know. And I'd think it would be in crackdown's best interest to stop the downloads, or at least inform the people, if it IS still a problem.

I'm just wondering because I'm finally downloading the packs right now, and gonna give it some play tonight. And I was wondering if I should make sure all of my play is co-op or not. cause that's doable...but I just want to make sure.

This is bull Ive worked so hard on all races I only had 1 to go for each and i needed 10 agility orbs. I can not express by typing how pissed I am.


And the developer just tells us sorry. I hope they come out with a real solution to this problem like giving a game save back to us according to our achievements, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. For now Crackdown will just collect dust until the Halo 3 Beta comes out.

wish i would had read this 2 hours before, all my orbs, char and everything resetted (exept achivements) ill tell what i was doing, i was playing a co-op game, after that the game ended so i started to play keys to the city (alone) and after that i finish the game, start to download the gettin busy pack and then start playin campaing single player, and my char got resetted... i lost 481 agility orbs and about 200 hidden orbs, and all my lvls although im not so pissed about the lvls, but the orbs took me hours of search...

This is absolute tripe what has happened to us, expecially those of us who PAID EXTRA for this content. This is beyond redictulus, and this situation demands compansation.

You didn't pay anything for the Title Update....which is what caused the glitch in the first place.

You Can't Control ME!!!

thought i would post this in this thread too so hopefully they can figure it out, to say i am pissed of is an under-statement.....

feel like i have been kicked in the balls spent so much time getting my guy maxed out and doing all the other stuff to. This is what happened to me, when i was playing a co-op game i got disconnected from xbox  live it took 5-6 times before i got back onto xbox live thought the service had gone down, when i got it back on i went to do some street races and after this it asked me to save to another location i did this not realising anything was up, after this i went to do the time trails on psycotic level and blammo i had a skinny guy with no abilitys. Don't think i am going to play all this game again so can they please sort my game save or give me a refund why should i have to start again because of there incompetence, heads should roll on this one. Bet i wont get much for crackdown on trade-in now its a damaged product.

I just wanted 2 say THANKYOU for erasing my game(Without any warning whatso ever)i had 19 Hidden orbs left,and 10 stunt rings  then i was done!I will never EVER buy a game that was made by u idiots!Thx again!I will trade it in 2morrow!

I turned on ressurect gangs and to my absolute horror realised id become a scrawny weakass punk with no weaps, cars, orbs, or races. I quit to the main menu and it automatically saved. I  tried playin again but with same results. even rebooted the console. VERY PISSED OFF. We need to get the developers to do something about this or i'm never goin on crackdown again.

exactly the same, but I had ONE agigity orb to find, so I am one unhappy lad

I only had two agility orbs when I was playing with a friend in co-op mode when I decided to go play solo.  I joined solo campaign and next thing you know everything is reset.  No more orbs or 4 star anything.  How can you go make an update that people pay for and then go ruin the whole game for them.  Thanks for making me buy something for nothing, what a horrible update.  I think they should reimburse everyone.

 

Only two agility orbs to go and they reset my game.  I will go back to the point that this proves that Crackdown is only good for the beta.
