Most game developers do not work 9-5 and with a problem as big as this...  They should be doing some overtime this weekend.  See they should have released on Monday then they would not have ruined their weekend.  Good luck RTW.

But do you have a rough idea of when? Being a weekend I was planning on spending my weekend playing this and doing some co-op. Kinda sucks to have to miss that to not risk losing my stuff.

hey guys - just so you know, we are aware of the situation and working on it.  as soon as we have a fix or workaround i'll let you know.  i'll post info right here on these forums, I'm just waiting to hear from the guys on the test team about a solid fix or workaround.

Is there also plans to return the crimes on/off feature as well as the "ressurect gangs" option with these bug fixes? The removal of Crimes on/off takes away a big angle of the game and makes doing the rooftop races significantly harder, especially since many people have already used this option to get achievements that those of us who only recently unlocked the option have not yet been able to use.

This is parrt of the forced, free update so unless i want to play offline it seems theres no way to keep this from changing.

While I love the DLA idea, and all of the new improvements, I dont believe developers should send updates which cripples or removes key components like crime on/off unless its a bug fix in a future update...

Probably not... people just need to be wary of the issue until a fix is released.  I'm pretty sure the issue lies within the Title update and not the DLC, so nothing needs to be pulled.

I saw this post mirrored on the Xbox.com forums,I replied with my experiences there, and I thought maybe the dev team would benefit from another experience with reset game.

I hate to join in the discussion, but I thought it might help if I threw in my experience.

I Grabbed the free downloadable content, then afterwards I popped in the game to play, which of course auto-updated.

My friend invited me to a game, and we played for a good hour and a half, until he needed to go to work. My character was where I left it, in regards to stats, weapons, and supply points.
I backed out to the menu and then went to play a solo game and it is treating me like I just opened the box and threw it in for the first time. 0 Stars, no supply points, etc.

Now, I understand bugs happen, and I am not going to throw a temper tantrum or anything over this, but I would like to know if we should go ahead and start over, or see if RTW will be able to do something to recover the data somehow? (Having a decent background in computers and data recovery, it seems unlikely, unless the game is looking in the wrong place for savegames due to this glitch/bug)

I really don't mind starting over, but would like to know if it is something I did that can be avoided in the future.

Another thing is it is not asking me which storage device I would like to use when I start up the game. Maybe it has been a while since I have played solo, but I could have sworn it asked which storage device to use upon launching.

My gamertag is Vriess obviously, and if anyone gets any information from RTW on this or finds a solution, I would very much appreciate a message.

Note: I did not try Keys to the city, Street Racing, nor did I reset the gangs. I just played in some co-op that my friend hosted.

Well, then, shouldn't the Title Update be taken down?

I'm just lucky I was poking around the forums today... seriously, I had planned a co-op game tonight.  I didn't even know the DLC went live.  I would have downloaded the update, played some co-op... and if I decided to play after my buddy went to bed, it's possible I'd be starting all over again tomorrow.

What about everyone else who's not on the boards today?

Its not exactly the title update that is doing this it is the free and premium content doing this.

I can't put into words how angry I am over this.  I downloaded the update and paid for the dlc.  Went into campaign mode, noticed my agent was at level zero, thinking it was some sort of glitch I backed out to menu (saved&quit).  I go to the forums and now find out that I probably just lost all my hours of hard work.   Had only 4 agility orbs to go and had over half the hidden orbs.  I know there's no fixed for my problem because I'm sure I saved over my previous file without knowing what I was doing.  I'm so so frustrated right about now!  Next time send out a warning to gaming news sites and Major Nelson as soon as you find about this stuff.  I and others probably would have seen it before we became victims of this devastating glitch in the update. 

As long as you don't play co-op until the issue is fixed you should be fine.  Big thanks to RTW for realizing and taking steps to fix the problem ASAP.  Crackdown rocks!

Wow, this really sucks. I have not yet logged in and downloaded the new content but now that there is a bug with it, I am afraid to. I'm gonna wait.

yes, go to your dashboard and view your memory saved on your hd. games -> crackdown -> your saved game (select it) -> choose copy -> select the memory card.

If I am reading this right, those who get affected by the DLC where the agent/orbs are reset are those that play cooperatively over Xbox LIVE only and then play the single-player campaign, am I right? So if you get the DLC and play the singleplayer campaign without hitting Xbox LIVEs coop campaign over again you do not loose your agent/orbs?
