Crackdown

Hi, just in case anyone wants to compare. I downloaded the free for all pack, the 800 point pack and the 80 point picture pack. My abilities and agility/hidden orbs were all reset when i hosted a co-op game with my sister online, she also had the free for all pack and the 800 point pack downloaded and enabled. She has had no adverse effects to her stats or orbs and has jumped in and out of games that I have hosted since and still no problems on her side.

Also of note all my bosses are still dead but my supply points are restricted like a new game and my locations on the map only show the areas I have been since having my stats/orbs reset.

Agreed, they created a kickass game for just starting out, and even if we did have to wait, some kickass DLC followed it up.  And the fact that they actually started working to fix this bug immidiatly after they got word of it, is something to be acknowledged and respected.

However, I'd suggest that you do NOT play co-op games until RTW releases an update or workaround.  It seems the problem lies in co-op... but as I said, this is NOT official.  If/when I get official word, I'll let you know.

My problem is exactly like this. Actually I cant "find" supply points when playing crimes off. Those are there but those wont open in the map. Funnily the game has been played thru but it acts like new one :O

so am i right in saying that no one here had their stats reset just playing solo games?

i havent downloaded the new content yet and wondering if i should bother, or wait till they make an announcement.

Thanks for the warning... if what I hear is right, does the Reset Gangs option replace the Random Crime feature, or are they both available?  I'd look myself but for various reasons I can't.

I think the "Resurrect Gangs" option is supposed to do just that, bring the gangs and kingpins back to life.  Your stats and previous information should be the same as you left it, just the world populous has changed.  I'm not certain, however.

On my first game that I joined with my friend, we played co-op and he resurrected gangs.  It worked perfectly fine for both of us.  It got glitched for me sometime after that.

Got an e-mail from the QA manager as well and I replied with detailed information of what I did. I'm hoping that they can fix the bug and come up with a solution for us who have had our saves reset.

I wish I had of read this post sooner. About 20 minutes ago I just had my game reset - 500 agility orbs, 250 hidden, about a hour away from maxing out abilities..

Like most others I had downloaded the free DLC and was playing with a friend over co-op. He was hosting, and quit. I loaded up my single player game again to find everything back to its original state. I really hope they nail this problem soon. Although I am not hopeful I can recover my file I do notice the dossier confirms the progress of my original save, and all locations on the map seem to be as they were previously too.

Sadly it looks like they've removed the crimes on/off option instead of just adding a reset bosses option.

Such a shame because then you don't get the nice quiet city to play around in.

My mate hosted a co-op game after downloading the new free pack and I downloaded and joined and everything worked fine, began collecting the cars and trying the new features out. Then I came off my 360 for a bit, came back on went to Single Player with resurrect gangs thinking it would just restart my bosses and I'd play with my previous character but it's reset. I'm gutted, hope they find a possible solution.

Yeah, I cannot understand why they have replaced crimes on/off with just resurrect gangs. Why noy have both as resurrecting gangs is a massive step. Other than that great content, oh yeah and the bit that reset my stats/orbs, other than that great content.

That sucks...

but I really won't care if it happens...

I already had to reset once, to get past my stunt ring glitch.... Thanks for the heads up...

Just be careful Boof.  I wouldn't play any co-op until RTW gets this straightened out.  I'd also be careful playing solo... just in case.

EDIT:  Haven't heard anything back from RTW for a bit... but that's probably a good thing.  They're probably working their asses off to figure out exactly what's causing it, and are possibly working on a way to fix it as we speak.  I'm probably going to try to catch some sleep soon, but if there's no official word once I get back online, I'll try to post any new info (if I get any) that RTW emails me.

Hang in there guys, RTW hasn't forsaken us.
