Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
Weird, I downloaded this morning and screwed around a little in the resurrect gangs mode, but my guy didn't reset. All of the bosses were there, but my guy was fine. It seems like everyone here that got reset played in co-op. I didn't. Maybe it has something to do with that.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
What I want to know is if there is any hope for getting our true saves back? I havent saved after the glitch so I dont know how it corrupted with that in mind.
Is it possible to revive our save if its not been re-saved over?

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
That does seem to be a big common factor. I reported that to RTW as well.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
I don't think it's a co-op link... I think it's a crossover. i.e, if you play in co-op, then in solo, it'll screw up your game save. I played all the modes in co-op before (minus reset bosses) and it worked fine. My advice would be to only play co-op or only play solo in one game session, and to restart your console if you want to switch over.
Crackdown on boredom!

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
Latest report is that they think they've narrowed down the issue. I'll post more when I get more information. Unless, of course, they ask me not to. It's their baby, so if they want to announce something themselves, of course I'll let them.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
Well, now that I know this, I'm not playing co-op till a fix comes out. But my question for people who have experienced this problem is do you think it's safe for me to play Resurrect Gangs on Single Player? I mean, I screwed around with it this morning and it was fine, but I don't wanna power up my system after school to see that I lost everything next time I load it. So if anyone can fill me in or has experienced this problem while only playing single player, please tell me, so I don't screw myself over.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
Thanks for keeping us updated, Drk Angel. I'm glad I heard about this before playing co-op. I've got 499 agility orbs and about 260 hidden ones, and it would be a chore to go back. I probably wouldn't.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
I want to e-mail them myself, since I haven't yet had the problem; maybe I could help out a little. If the fix isn't out after school I might join in solving this mystery. But as for now, If anyone could answer my above question that would be greatly appriciated.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
That's the problem... we don't exactly know yet. We're thinking it has to do with co-op, but I'm not certain yet. You can try it if you wish, but personally, I'd think it'd be better to be safe than sorry.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
Ive just emailed RTW back asking if we can get saves back, i very much doubt it. there is only 1 save for this game and it holds the character stats, if we load it and the stats are at 0 then thats that. our old saves and data are gone.
i have asked however if they will look into any way of compensating those of us who have lost our data. i have said i dont want money or free stuff. by compensation i want some way of starting the game with my character at at least level 4 with an even easyer way of tracking orbs sincei was on 456 and have to start again.
it looks liek this fault is tied down solely to co op mode. i believe it bugs out when someone with gangs resurected or KTTC on joins a game with this option off or vice versa.
RTW just asked me if i could confirm i had a game where the host quit on me. this is not the case for me, it was me who quit all the games before it bugged. if anyone has had this error after the host quit on them please say so.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
I noticed one glitch.
I have only played single player with new Content, both free and premium.
I reset Gangs, and all is fine, my agent has all stats and orbs etc.
Well the last time I played I had done 20 Stunt Rings. Now I did another ring, and it said 15 stunt rings completed.
I
hope that it has not wiped the stunt rings I have already done, and if
so I hope they appear. Will check it out next time I play.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
Ok here is the email response from RTW
Me
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If it helps, from all the boards im reading it looks like its something to do with a crossover, oplaying co-op mode where either the host or player has resurrected gangs but the other does not.
Is there any way you can confirm whether getting saves back is possible? A lot of people are asking can we get saves back. It seems obvious to me that the save we had has been overwritten with the data of a reset character so the data we ha is gone totally. But would it be likely that RTW would find some way around this or find some way of compensating for the loss. I don’t mean we want money back or any free stuff but would you look into giving us the option to level our characters back up without having to go through all the game again. this would really ease a lot of peoples worries
Regards

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Deap 360,
I promise you we are looking into this at the moment. I got to speak to a lot of people not all of whom are in the building. As soon as I know anything I’ll let you know.
RTW
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So currently they are working on the problem. nobody has reported issues with solo mode so that should be fine go ahead and play. do not touch the co-op mode at all until RTW makes an official statement.
i have just started a new game and goit my character up to level one agility, i started a new solo game with gangs resurected and it did not reset again i am happy enough sayng solo is ok. if you have lost your save i wouldnt bother playing until RTW says if they are going to help us or not

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
Alright. I'm probably going to take my chances playing today, but I won't do co-op. If my stats are reset, oh well, I took the chance. I'm not going to stop playing to avoid a bug that shouldn't be there. Hopefully, those who have lost their save will get their stats back in one form or another - I'm kinda feeling annoyed just reading about it. Oh well, RTW put a lot of effort into this DLC, they are probably hurting too knowing that people are getting a worse experience than they were before they put it out, so I'm not angry with them.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!
As upset as I originally was (hell, I was downright pissed and foaming at the mouth), I understand with a game as complex as Crackdown there's bound to be a few bugs. Granted, this is a big-ass bug that slipped by, but it seems a fairly uncommon one (or has to have just the right circumstances to activate)... which would make it understandible as to why it slipped by. I'm just happy that RTW, as tired as they are (Scotland, y'know), are diligently working to rectify this. Or at least working to prevent it from happening to anyone else. These are good guys (and gals, no doubt), RTW is a company that should be supported. They're in their infancy (well, toddler-hood perhaps) and I want to see them flourish. Especially if they continue to treat their customers and fans as they do.
