Crackdown

Hey Guys had another mail from "My Contact" at RTW, not really my contact just a guy who mailed me and Drk earlier asking for more info and we keep going back and forth. as Agent G who is on the Dev team has posted it looks like they have found the fault and are working now to get a fix out so that it does not happen to anyone else.

For now DO NOT PLAY CO-OP it may erase your save game, it may not. just dont risk it unless yoiu can back up on to a memory card.

Now its 10PM here in the UK and they are still mailing me so they are obviously working on it since im assuming they should have finished at 5pm and they are still working now.

They say they are working to get some official info later today, we dont know at this time weather this means a statement, a fix, a worakround (whih i hope means fix and method to resurect everyones  stats) or they may not have time to process this today as they are going to need to make the fix gaurentee it works then convince several higher powers that it works.

As soon as i hear from RTW, they are defnately working their arses off to get this sorted for us. I for one am sitting with my xbox on the dash waiting for the update to come in.

i hope they can release the update with a new achievement such as did not snap crackdown disc 100G

it just happend to me but i think why it happens ....when you join a co-op game then you try to make a single player game....thats wat causes it...ones you join ur single player game all of your stats are gonna be gone.....so turn ur xbox off....and start a single player game with out join any co-op games....and you should be fine..

All well and good making a patch so no one else has all their save game data erased but what about the ones it has already happend too, do we get a patch...............or maybe some compensation, like..........a car, or a PS3, lol.

same thing happen 2 me lost everything and the bad part is it just left me my last 2 booses with no super powers 2 fight with

Well hello folks, sorry to join in such an unceremonious fashion, but I've lost my save too.

The way it is: I downloaded the free stuff and was dabbling. A friend then invited me into a game to show me the new vehicles (though I was certain to buy anyway). Then I went off for a while to have my tea. First thing I did on coming back on was spend my 800 points. Dabble a bit more, then thought I would have a look at the impounding, weapons and so on in my regular save. Bosses still dead, supply points unlocked, but all orbs back and all skills at zero.

Now it might not be so bad if I was only being precious about my orbs, so to speak, but I now have to work my way back up to full skills in order to take on the Psyche Out achievement, and most likely the new driving achievements as well. And I did earn my maxed agent, so I don't feel like earning him again - at least not in these circumstances.

I haven't resurrected the bosses or saved at all since then, as that would feel too final given that I'm hoping RTW will come up with something.

They say they are working on a Fix and a workaround so obviously they are gonna stop this happening, but worakround to me means fix for those of us who havelost our downloadable content. this may not work but they are working on trying to help. which lets be fair is better than we get from most companies.

I dont think he would appreciate me making his address public as he would get 100's of messages all telling him the same thing. he started mailing me and the Thread Starter because he read this forum. so if you have something to say to RTW then post it here they are reading this for their updates.

I don't play co-op and mine didn't reset my character so I guess this problem is only for people who play online.

They are working on it, I understand your frustration but having a go at RTW will not help. people respond better to please and thankyou not threats. im sure they will do something to compensate us in some way it may be some dlc or they may have a fix for the fault. but they are working on it they should have something for us soon

It seems like the options should have run like this:

Solo/Co-Op: Crimes Off  (No Save Loss)

Solo/Co-Op: Crimes On  (No Save Loss)

Solo/Co-Op: Resurrect Gangs  (No Save Loss)

Solo/Co-Op: Restart Game (Start from scratch.  Believe it or not, I wanted this.  Just....not....automatically....)

seems to only happen to some people, dunno why. i tried to make my game erase its save so i could post what i did so people would know what to avoid, but i cudnt get it to happen. i tried all the co-op modes, all the single player modes, and i started one from each then the other, back and forth, sometimes going to the dashboard, sometimes not. i just cudnt get it to happen.

however, what i assume the cause is, is when you've maxed it all out, then join someone who hasent and go back without returning to the dashboard, ud loose your crimes on/off option (before the update). so its probably something simular, only that its not temporary.

so, i recomend that when you join someone in co-op, DONT start another game without going back to the dashboard first. hopefully this is the culpret, tho i cudnt get it to do that myself after countless tries.

hopefully RTW will fix this ASAP.

I have also lost my game save and wish I knew about this site before. It really sucks because I have already reset my character before when I got the elite. I really hope this gets figured out because if it doesn't I just might quit playing.
