Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

I DO THINK that this message came a little too late, of noone here heard of someone with this problem before, well, I HAD THE PROBLEM, and may I say that i am more than P### OFF with this. Come on guys, this was a terrible mistake, I was only 10% points to get the whole 5abilities to 4 stars, I had already 3 of them in 4 stars, one of those in 100% of the 4th to 5th star and the other two in the 90% of the 3rd to 4th star, I was only 2 bosses to seeing the end of the game, or whatever comes after all of the bosses ar killed. After i had this problem, i went online to see if anything was happening, only to find a "We apologise for any inconvenience!".

I expected a litle more respect. I really think it is absurd to release some content, charge for it, and then make this content, even if it is a bug, ERASE anything you have acomplished and just ask for sorry.

I expect you to release a way for everyone that had the problem to have a way of establishing the scores they had before. I don't wan't to have anything better that i had before, just the same, with the same guys killed and scores to get.

It would not be hard to see someone with all of the achievements in the game as high as mine, that they could not have an agent with everything in the zero mark.

Please I expect some correction that makes me want to play Crackdown, wich WAS a hell of a good game before this problem, again.

I don't have the will to start all over again. If I had already finished, who knows, but ALMOST finishing it, and then have to restart, it's a real pain.

    Santroph.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

feel like i have been kicked in the balls spent so much time getting my guy maxed out and doing all the other stuff to. This is what happened to me, when i was playing a co-op game i got disconnected from xbox  live it took 5-6 times before i got back onto xbox live thought the service had gone down, when i got it back on i went to do some street races and after this it asked me to save to another location i did this not realising anything was up, after this i went to do the time trails on psycotic level and blammo i had a skinny guy with no abilitys. Don't think i am going to play all this game again so can they please sort my game save or give me a refund why should i have to start again because of there incompetence, heads should roll on this one. Bet i wont get much for crackdown on trade-in now its a damaged product.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

I'll be honest, I couldn't be bothered reading all 7 pages but here is my problem with my saved game.  The only thing that has been reset in my game is the bosses, i still have my character with almost maxed out skills, supply points etc.  Is there any hope of my crime option (crime on or off) being fixed or am I in the same boat as the rest of you guys by needing to defeat all bosses again just to get the options correct.

Sorry if its already been posted by someone else and has been answered.

If only the bosses are gone you're lucky! You can probably kills all those bosses again in one day. Other have had everything reset including supply points, stats, orbs, races,...the lot! Luckily I read this thread before I launched a co-op game, so my game is still ok.

he is not saying that the bosses are gone, he is saying that he can't turn them off(like you could do with crimes). NBUK you will need to defeat them again if you want them gone.
Its not who you are but who you know.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

so like any fan of crackdown... as soon as i see there is new content.. i download it.. jump on the game and get the title update and of course i wanna try this new stuff out with a friend.

so i join my friend's co op game and we play some psychotic time trials.. we get through the first 3 and then for some reason when the 4th loads up.. my maxed out stats are all reset to zero... thanks guys!

im so glad that now while trying to experience the new content i gotta completely rebuild my agent and find all the orbs again... sweeeet

im a little pissed on this one.. but its not like anything will be done for those who have already lost their files.. its unrealistic to say that they could recover every persons lost save file... and there will be no refund of the 800 points cuz it was the free title update that messed up.. not the paid for DLC.

so might as well quit your whining and play crackdown all over again if it means that much to you.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

Seeing this came out way later then it should of have and this stuff should of been tested and looked over a few times beacuse of all the things to happen, this happens. I mean I'll be honest the only reason I bought Crackdown was for the H3 Beta (like all of us) but when I have everything maxed and almost all the orbs and then this *** happens? Wtf? So what is going to happen to make up for this? A simple sorry won't cut it. What are you going to do, that will make me want to play Crackdown again. Cuz, why should I? I'll just lose all my saved games and stuff.... again!

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

Shouldn't Agent G make a new announcement seeing as this "official workaround" clearly doesn't work?

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

An easy temporary solution for people who had all their stuff deleted would be the following:

    1. Construct a simple IF statement looking to see if the user signing in is starting with a brand new game save AND has all the beefed up agent achievements.
    2. Make the achievements possible to attain with "Keys to the City" mode on for this person until a permanent solution is attained.

This way, anyone that had all their stuff deleted can get most of it back relatively quickly. This wouldn't include orbs of course, but that's why it would only be a temporary fix.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

If your idea of a permanent fix, is something that will restore our old saves, you're dreaming. I've lost my save and I'm in the same boat as everyone else, but we are NOT going to get our old files back... As if I couldn't be more pissed about this situation, we have not heard one word from anyone at RTW since Friday.

As if introducing something so simple to spot through playtesting into the game weren't amateur enough, RTW's decides to take the weekend off... Un-freaking-believable... and absolutely AMATEUR.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

An easy way to help us all would be to allow us to save character stats in cheat mode. We will still need to go round re finding all of the orbs to get the achievement but atleast we will be able to reach them all.Ive alread got all the agility orbs once so would just like to go out hunting for the hidden ones. Having to get leveled up again so i can reach some of the hidden orbs is just frustrating. I only had a few to go before my save got wiped.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

Thank you, I appreciate the hard work everyone put in to get such a quick fix.  Reading through the comments, I guess I never realized how many stupid questions there really are in the world.  Anyway, thanks again.
