Crackdown 2 was just announced at E3! Great news indeed people. The trailer was hot too.

Does anyone think that the big red creature that popped up on Ruffian Games' website as concept art  could be the weird thing that seems to appear at the end of the trailer?

Once I can get my hands on a downloadable copy of the trailer, I will be doing a full, geeky anaylsis of the whole thing!

That's what I'm thinking aswell. The shadow fits the body mass of the concept art perfect, if you ask me. I'm pretty excited about this. Hopefully they improve on everything we love about the previous one and don't mess with it to much.

My prediction for when the game will be released is Fall 2010 ... so like 18mos away. It will be hard, but very much worth the wait.

It says that Crackdown 2 will have up to 2-16 multiplayer and 4 player co-op. I sure hope that doesn't change, for the worse, between now and the time it releases.

I do like the co-op modes, but earlier this year (February I think) I heard a few worrying rumours that the game might be multiplayer only. Now these rumours were very vague, and the sources were not revealed, so I doubt they are ture, but I just really hope they're not, because I think single player mode is brilliant aswell, and sometimes, you just want to play on your own.

Are Realtime Worlds behind this one as well? I see Ruffian Games listed, but no RTW credit.

Ruffian games are completely involved with the games production, as far as I know.

However, loads of RTW staff moved to Ruffian Games, so they kida are behind it.

They are making another crackdown!

I was very releived today to discover that Crackdown 2 will indeed have a single-player mode, as confirmed by the official Xbox.com game information page.
