yaranik:Ability to lead a squad of peacekeepers, or lower-rank AI-controlled agents, after earning it. Successes would bring you a larger squad under your command. I wouldn't like CD2 turn into a strategy game, though, there should be just simple ways of commanding the AI team.
I'm gonna have to disagree. I think the concept behind Crackdown are you are one badass, playing the lone wolf . If you removed the element of the overpowered agent and replaced it with squad based, or group based assault, I think it would ruin the very foundations on which this game was built.
I think the focus should remain on co-op, this game was my favorite game for co-op/single player and remains my favorite to date. I think there needs to be a slightly improved lobby as well as priority connections to group high speed internet users first (or the option to view latency). If they stick to the basics, just adding some new variation to the story mode (maybe some interesting missions outside of hunting down and killing gang leaders), more diverse character selection (without the tribal tatoos... what was up with that anyway....?), some unique weapons (aka rocket juggler and harpoon gun), and lastly, an even stronger sense of being a badass by the end of the game (obviously incorparating the same leveling and skill growth as in CD1); then, and only then, will this game be just as amazing as it was before.
The concept of monsters adds some variety, I think this would be a good opportunity for a "survival mode", in that you have a set area or time limit to kill enemies and each wave or round consists of increasingly more difficult challenges (aka. Horde mode in GoW2).
