Drk Angel, I do agree with you.  I was just kind of mad because I just purchased guitar hero 2, and I won't be able to buy the DLC because I am in the hole $35 right now.  I am also mad because I know that RTW is going to put stuff that I don't want (boss resetting) in the free content, whereas the dune buggies will cost, and I actually really want those badly.  Here is to hoping that we will only have to pay $5 for this premium content.

Well you see, that's the people who made GH2 that did that, and I've heard Major Nelson and MS are trying to get them to come down in price on those songs but they're not budging.

I'm also thinking that with GH2, since the songs are copyrighted, liscensed music, if part of the high cost is going as royalties.  Music that you can legally buy online, there's an agreement with the artists and their production companies so they get part of the profit.

Just an idea.  (I don't have GH2 but looked at the prices for the DLC, and yeah, it's a bit extreme... but then again I have LOTS of music on my computer, some of it, I admit, I didn't pay a dime).

    Agent G:

Fellas - Regarding the downloadable content that is coming "soon", there has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not it is going to be free or paid downloadable content.  I just wanted to let you know that we are going to be providing two substantial buckets of content.  One free and one premium.  There are also some other good surprises in store when the content launches.  It's all good and you'll have it "soon".  And by the way, there will be NO charge for that extra 100 gamerscore we owe you.  Cheers.

So does this mean one will cost money the other won't how he said one Free one Premium?

It would seem that way. I think that is why he made the distinction  between the two.

    Haefele:
Well, I am only getting the free download.  I refuse to pay for something that should already be in the game.  I wish Microsoft hadn't done this download content thing.  I am fine with downloading new maps of something huge like an expansion pack, but i don't want to download some new vehicles for MONEY!  Cmon Agent G, how hard could it have been to toss in those vehicles and a new game mode in the retail copy of the game.  Oh, and if the free content has boss resetting and some new achievements ONLY, then I will be pissed.  I have been waiting for the Crackdown DLC for months, and I DO NOT WANT TO RESET MY BOSSES.  I could give two shits about that.  Also, the fucking achievements don't matter if I don't have anything new to do!  If that's all I get, I may not buy anything from RTW.  And I still stand behind my decision to NEVER buy anything from Xbox Live Marketplace.  Especially when I can go play an original Xbox and get ALL the game has to offer instead of a half assed retail copy and some so-so $15 downloads.  Oh and BTW, good luck selling that DLC to the 64 people who actually care!

i kinda see your point dude but in others i dont seems to me since the download content stuff game manufactorers dont make a game then have done with it they add bits after if you want them and if that means a price on it like 800ms points im fine with that some games ill get the dlc like r6v some i wont cant think of 1 that i wouldnt GOW probs but i havent got that anymore so there'd not be much point. but a few games l8ly i have noticed they seem a little rushed and then been forced into bringing dlc out to make up for the rushed version that does piss me off cause they charge you 800ms points for something that should be in the game but i think crackdown is pretty well finished game and i dont think the makers really needed to expand on that except for the 100 gamerpoints thing i think under some law that microsoft brought in they have to make it upto 100 gamerpoints. so im more than happy to see that they are bringing something new to this game cause only reason i have still got it is because i got a couple more achievements to get an ov course halo 3 beta but hopefully the new content will bring new life into the game :) especially co-op cause some kind of death match thing would be really fun
