I completely agree with everything you said; point for point.  I went through the exact same way with the exact same results.

Both my online and offline stats were lost, so I'm sure there's no way to get back were I was.  What really chaffs me, is that I was so close to finding all of the hidden orbs.  There's no way I have enough incentive to try and find all of those again.

I'm with you in thinking that RTW should figure out a way to compensate those of us who continue to suffer from this 'forced' update.  If Microsoft bricks my system with an update; they replace my system.  So, why shouldn't RTW do something to 'make-up' for the loss that we now must endure.

And I agree that an 800 point compensation would make me feel a bit warm and fuzzy and clear the air.

I'm so glad you think so, and I'm sorry it's taking up your valuable forum space. As these forums are for everyone; not just you, I vote to leave this sticky on top.

Whilst the issue that causes the problem is fixed, the resulting mess left behind for those affected is not - I've made a pretty valid argument to that effect, and I'd like RTW to do something about it.

I'm still waiting for the fix to actually fix the problem caused - which is what fixes are supposed to do.

But thats the point! RTW can't do anything about it they don't keep and track your Crackdown profile. Theres no way to get it back so you just have to suck it up and get on with your life. There is no need to keep this stickyed because this issue was a problem long ago. It is no longer a problem. I feel bad for people who lost their profiles, yes. But theres no need for this. And theres no way to get your profile back. RTW has apologised and done what they could to prevent this from happening to even more people. It is their fault there was a bug that deleted your profile but it was not their fault that you went straight into co-op. Thats why you never download anything brand spanking new the first day, there bound to be a bug or two. If you had waited you would've saved your profile but its too late.

Download something brand spanking new? I started the game, loaded it to go into co-op and it prompted me saying I had to update to play on live. So I did.

How can I avoid an enforced update Mr Expert? I agree I could if it was a choice, but it wasn't.

There were no notices. Not one other game in my history of playing games on the Xbox and now Xbox 360 has EVER deleted my save game, so why again is this my fault?

In short - they wrote the game. They CAN restore my save game - maybe not the original one that's lost, but they could for example use my achievments as a guide and restore my character to match. The fact is they have chosen not to.

Maybe it's because they want to assume everyone is like you and just accepts what they get, even when it's sub-standard?

Anyway I'm done with you - if you don't like this thread being here, just don't read it.

Thanks for re-affirming for me the maturity level (i.e. lack of) of alot of people on these forums.

May I offer you some advice? How about remembering what you learnt in school and utilising punctuation, correct grammar and spelling, capitalisation etc - perhaps someone will then take you seriously.

Okay well you choose to accept the Update. It says accept yes or no. You could've said no. Basicly by saynig yes to accept the Update your saying its not there fault. Thats why theres an option on the Update yes or no. Maybe you didn't know it was going to delete your account. Either way they can't get your profile back so get over it. Its a game. You can get your stuff back in it. So stop whinning. And I don't accept everything I get. Yeah I understand your mad I would be mad too. But in this case you HAVE to accept what you get. Because they aren't going to get it back. Its on your Hard Drive. Because if they had to replace everyones profile again, they'd either have to take you and everyone elses Hard Drive or Memory Unit for who knows how long. Or buy you and everyone else a $100 Hard Drive or $35 Memory Unit. And all that adds up to a crap load of money. Only because one person wouldn't get their profile back up to date because they were to busy whinning the whole time.

Hell yea!

Sorry you lost your save game. A lot of others did too. RTW can't go back and fix it. Or rather, they are not going to go back and fix it. You still kept your achievement points.

I think this needs to be taken off of sticky as well. It is over and done with.
