Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

Hey I'm completely new to Crackdown.  I bought it today and was immediately notified of updates when I put it in for the first time.  I don't have anything to worry about, right?  It's only if you've got a game to lose?  I've got the four extra agent skins, and an update that XBOX told me about, but there's also one about 'keys to the city' which I don't know about.  Should I get this now?  Would it affect my first game?  I'm just absolutely confused, and want to play Crackdown.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Chris

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

    Hey Chris,

you have nothing to worry about with the updates, even with save games etc.  The updates are automatic on the console to fix issues wiht the game, or new features that the game needs to support from the platform etc.

As issues are found, they get bundled into what are called Title Updates.  These updates are mandatory for playing on live, and there is nothign to worry about in accepting one.

The Keys for the City etc is what is called downloadable content.  This is a free package to unlock a 'cheat-mode' for the game.

There is also the Getting busy bonus pack which will cost 800 points, but will give you a whole host of additional pieces and features to play with.

Bottom line: the save game issue is fixed, and these updates are going to make your gaming experience better.  All the DLC packs offer more content, some is free (keys_to_the_city) and some is paid for (Getting_busy_bonus)...

hope this helps.. have fun, it's a blast.

    Hey cheers Clanhavoc!

Think I'll check my ms points to see if I can get the Getting busy bonus, and get the Keys for the City while I'm at it, then have A BLAST!  Now I've just got to wait for my 17 month old daughter (who should be asleep) to finish watching her 'baby einstein'.  I'm glaring at the back of her head right now...!

    You dont have to worry

Keys To The City is something like GOD Mode - Pacific City in an alternate reality where you state the rules

just download everything :] and have fun

btw I've heard some gossip about minigun speed increased or something - is that true?

So is this problem 100% fixed then?  Was it the Halo 3 TU that done it?

Re: Updated: Crackdown Title Update - Save Game Issue Fixed

I had that bug happen to me where I played co op first and when I went into single player everything was erased.  I quit out to the dashboard so it wouldn't save and have been playing co op with my buddy off and on for two weeks now.  Can I go back into single player and have my stats again or did that update not fix that?  My game info has to be saved somewhere on my Xbox if I can play co op with it.  Skimming this thread makes it sound like the update didn't do anything, and I don't want to risk loading up a single player game and making it so I can't even play co op with my guy anymore.  That is the best part after all.  :)

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

    Drk Angel,

I have a question about this, I downloaded only the TU no DLC and went into single player immediately after and my single player agent was all zeros I exited without saving, My agent was at level 4 for every catagory before the TU. I immediately called my friend and told him not to perform the update. A few days later I loaded the game went to single player still everything was zero's I exited without saving, then I joined a co-op with my friend who performed the TU without issue, in co-op all of stats are there and work fine, do you know of any way to get the stats from the co-op to the single player as obviously they exist somewhere in memory? I apologize if this has been posted already but I have been reading to exhausting lengths and have not found this specific scenario answered.

Re: Crackdown DLC - Official Steps to Trouble Free Gaming

I have already lost my saved game and I had 490 Agility Orbs and 192 Hidden Orbs is there any way I could get my saved game back because I'm only playing the game to get all the achievements, and I had all of my stats at the max --

I have proof of this with my Xbox Achievements.

PS Where the hell are you supposed to achieve a 115 Foot Jump?
I have jumped off the opposite side of the lighthouse on the 1st Island near the Supply point.
