Re: Only a problem in co-op?

Meh. I spent about 4-5 hours playing campaign as soon as I realized I had no choice and various time trials over and over, and now I'm:

    3 Stars Agility/Firearms

    2 Stars Strength/Explosives

    1 Star Driving

Not bad for such a short amount of time.

I need someone to play LOTR BFMEII with online...

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

I followed the " official steps to trouble free gaming " on the stickied thread , but only returned with half sucess.

There are two profiles on my Xbox , mine and my little brother's.

I downloaded the patch/update with my profile , following the offical steps.
After rebooting , it was a success.
    My data was safe.

Now I tried booting it up with my little brothers' profile , and his game save has been wiped.

It only seems to work on the profile you download the update with to me.
I'm thinking every other profile that logs in after that will most probably have their stats/progess wiped.

I hope the team takes other profiles into account when creating the next patch/update .......

The official steps only saved my data from being wiped , but not my little brother's.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

grrrrrr OMG! i did what was told in sticky topic by Agent G.

i played Co-op with my friend and all of my hidden orbs/ rings/ booses and other orbs are GONE

i had 495 green orbs, 203 hidden orbs and 15 rings and all the bosses are reset + i was working on my time trials achivement. i had defeated 17 bosses on PSY difficulty and they are gone. Only thing that i still have are my skills.

i spent hours looking for those orbs by using the maps and now they are gone :'(

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

Basically it looks like when you enter a co-operative game straight after updating to the new version, without doing anything else, the game wipes whatever you had saved. This is irreversible, unless of course it has saved to a different location than that of which the original save game was located, which is unlikely.

There are still many bugs that I have found in this new version, to that list I now add this one. Maybe they should have asked people to test it a little more before they released it.

They expect you to pay for the updated premium content aswell. Not so keen on that idea.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

Agents G's post does not bring back your data that you lost, only prevent you from losing data

The title update is to blame not the DLC(s)

I know it has nothing to do with the premium content, but if they can't get the free stuff right I don't particularly want to buy the premium. Just the way I feel about it.

What an absolute joke. This is a *** up of huge proportions. I demand something in compansation instantly from RTW or this game is getting traded in without a second thought.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

Just an update on my post previous to this , somehow I managed to get my little brothers' save data back.

After I posted in my previous post that my little brother lost all his data after the update ( But i managed to keep my data after the update ) , I decided to download the new content too.

I don't understand it but after I downloaded the new content , my little brothers' data was restored .....

I find it very strange ......... usually when i think data is lost .... data is lost for good ......  i don't know how i got it back , but i'm glad ...... it must not have been showing up for some reason .....

basically this is my experience explained in simple terms :

    1. I downloaded the game update with my profile and followed the official steps to trouble free gaming , and it was sucessful for my profile. My game save didn't lose any stats/progress data.

    2. I logged my account out , rebooted , logged in my little brothers' account and started up crackdown.

    3. I started my little brothers' single player mode , loading the game save data from his profile , his stats/progress were all reset to zero ...... ( he was half way through the missions before this )

    4. I tried many times to load his game save with his profile , rebooting a few times too , but no hope ...... his game save still had fresh stats.

    5. It seemed like my game save was safe , but his was ruined ..... oh well ...... I posted some dissapointed response on topics like this on Xbox and crackdown forums ... lol ..

    6. After the forums , I decided to download the new content ( I only applied the update thus far ) , so at least if my brother has to start again , he can start again with all the brand new content .... lol ....

    7. I downloaded the new content .... tested it on my profile/ game save ..... everything seemed fine ....... but the next bit was the strange bit ....

    8. I tested the new content on my little brothers' profile and for some reason the game save that I thought had been wiped clean seemed to have been restored ?!?!? A miracle !!!
I don't know where the information for his game save had been hiding after i applied the update ....... but it seemed to have shown it's face again after i applied the downloadable content ......

    9. I don't know how this happened , but i'm pleased it did ....  now he's happily playing the new content with his old data , which i previously thought had been wiped clean a couple of hours ago ......

    10. I hope it stays this way ...... who knows what will happen next update ....

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

I'm sure everyone knows this by now, but in case you don't and you came to this thread right away before visiting the rest of the forums, here it is anyways:

    Agent G:

We are aware that the recently released “Crackdown” DLC is causing some gamers to experience a reset of their saved games when they engage in co-op play.  The team is working extremely hard to identify the issue and has provided steps to avoid the problem.

    Simply follow these instructions:

    1. Sign-in to Xbox Live
    2. Start Crackdown and receive new Title Update (if you haven’t already)
    3. Begin a Single Player Campaign game
    4. Once loaded, press Start and choose “Quit”
    5. Reboot Crackdown (soft reboot or hard reboot of console)

By following the steps above, this will ensure that your Crackdown experience will be trouble-free.  You will then be able to enjoy the new title update features, the “Free-For-All” DLC pack, as well as all the goodies found in the “Getting’ Busy Bonus Pack”.

For more details on the contents of the title update, and both the free and premium downloadable content, please visit: http://crackdownoncrime.com/News/DLC+Fact+Sheet.htm

A permanent solution will be released with the game’s next Title Update, which will be available in the very near future.  NOTE: Unfortunately these steps will not restore an old saved file.  There is no workaround for this.  If this changes, we will post additional information in these forums in the future.  We sympathize with those who may have lost their saved files.  This was an unforeseen incident and the team has worked diligently to find a solution in the shortest amount of time possible.

    And:

    Agent G:
    HippyJesus:

Hate to sound like a noob but could we get those steps with a little more detail  i havnt had a chance to download the new content yet.  And I want to make sure I do everything right so I dont lose my agent stats.

    Thanks

Unofficially, what I would do is:

    1. Put Crackdown in your disc drive and start it up.

    2. It will tell you that there is an update.  Get it, then after it finishes downloading it will send you back to the menu (after the logo screens, legal crap, sign-in, loading of saved game, etc pass).

    3. Then enter "Campaign".  Play SOLO.  Then get into the game (meaning literally into the city or agency garage or wherever, bascially just on the other side of the supply points)

    4.  Once you do that, you can then just pause the game, select QUIT and it will save your game.

From there you'll be good to go.

Go ahead and download the DLC, play online, whatever.  You should be good to go.  The main issue seems to be around when folks download the TU and then hop right online.  If they quit an online session without doing the above some people are seeing their save game get reset.  We're investigating why that is right now.  I'm sure we'll be up all night for several nights.  Hang in there why we try to get this sorted, but again if you do the above first this is a non-issue.

    Hope this helps.

    Hope this helps.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

    Hey guys

    (first time posting)

I'd just like to be added to the list of people whom got affected by this. As aforementioned, after downloading the patch I jumped right into "Key to the City". Shortly after I was invited by a friend to try out the new content in the same mode. We basically fooled around testing out all the new various items and vehicles at our disposal. Shortly after I solo'd the mode for myself. After going back to campaign I never really noticed anything wrong with the game I had been playing. I still had the same progress associated with the storyline and my achievements. Coming back the next day I had another co-op play session. My friend and I swiftly took out the Los Muertos map (all the crime bosses in that area) We then got disconnected. I didn't play for a few hours there after. Today, roughly a  few minutes ago, I went back to continuing my campaign in order to finish off various tasks:

    Current Stats from memory:

    Maxed Agent
    452/500 green orbs collected
    125/300 hidden orbs collected
    All weapons confiscated
    All supply points
    All rooftop races completed
    6 stunt rings
    1 roadrace left to complete

Story Progress up to this point

    Shai-Gen Area
3 crime bosses defeated: (Czemenko, Fang-Yun, and Oakley)
3 crime brosses discovered:(Mrs. Timbol, Rzeznik, and Wang)
    1 crime boss undiscovered

Now with this in mind, I started my campaign in The Keep wherein I'd normally get an option to choose my location from the city map from various captured supply points. Upon being loaded up in The Keep I realized my agent was a no-rank trainee agent without attributes. That's among a few things I noticed:

-I couldn't access the supply point (from The Keep -starting point-)
-When I went to choose my agency vehicle, the interface showed the pictures instead of text (which I'm sure is something that was changed with the update as well as the implementation of the vehicle impound system)
-When I drove outside The Keep, all supply points were marked "unreachable/undiscovered"
-Even though it appeared as if I was playing a new game, I still had access to the Shai-Gen area from 3rd exit.
-The streets were still governed and peaceful in the cleared areas, but crime was still active in Shai-Gen where some crime bosses were still at large. (with no stats...I can tell you it's not an easy task)

Overall it appeared as if I was playing a new game. However, all progress towards the story were still set in stone, while all earned attributes necessary to complete various tasks appeared to be rolled back. I think the most tedious part of all this is collecting the agility/hidden orbs again. I assume it'd be impossible to restore that kind of information when determining which orbs were collected throughout the city at any given location.

I'll have more to go on that when I'm done finding a few things. I must say I'm very pissed about the whole situation
