well guess weve had the ocfficial word and i get the feeling that theres no way we are gonna get oiur save games back. i just hope they come up ith something to sweeten this up.

Yep, I heavily suspected that getting our saves back was pretty much impossible, but a part of me is still hoping they manage to fix it or come up with some kind of solution/compensation. Turned into a pretty shitty friday, I was looking forward to getting back into Crackdown and out of the blue I lose all my progress..

Oh well, on wednesday I won't be playing much Crackdown if you know what I mean ;)

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

Heh, at first I was pissed that I lost my saved game and all that work.  Actually, I'm still not very happy about it.  It seems a daunting task and needless hard work to get back to where I was.

I, however, am not pissed with RTW.  Yes, I was at first but after seeing how quickly they tried to help, I'm no longer upset with them... just the situation.  I'm sure there are many companies that would basically feel "oh well, sorry about your loss... that's your problem, not mine".  Since RTW didn't act this way, in fact acted just the opposite and emailed me pretty much immediately to try to get to the bottom of this, I have faith in them.  No I'm not upset with RTW any longer (and this is only because of how they responded to us).  I understand Crackdown's a complex game, and I've been gaming long enough to know that bugs slip by.  Yeah, this was a huge bug, however it wasn't easily found.  RTW stated themselves that they had a bigger problem duplicating the ***-up, the majority of the time it worked correctly.  Only after talking to several of us were they able to duplicate it and find a workaround (even if it's just temporary).

So yeah, I'm still a bit pissed about my file, but not at the people.  They're doing their best, and to me, that quelled a lot of anger.  You have to admit though, when it's working, the DLC is one of the best that the 360 has seen (bugs/glitches aside of course).  This is also happening to a minority, not the majority, so I understand how difficult it was to find.

(Also, before I start sounding too "goody-goody", I'm a Buddhist.  We're taught to dislike the action, but not the person.  Just letting you know the reasons for what I've said.  Even as a Buddhist, this has not been an easy thing to deal with, but I'm just trying the best I know how from the background I have to work with)

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

Drk Angel, I admire your mature response to all of this.  I can't imagine how gutted I would be if I lost my save, and I haven't dared load up my Crackdown game all day in case it happens to me too.

However, as someone who works in software development, I can appreciate how easy it is for things to slip through testing - and this does seem like a very specific set of circumstances.  RTW's response to this has been superb and I can only begin to imagine how they must feel about a slip-up like this getting through.  Hopefully now the workaround is out we are all free to enjoy the new content and the new patch will be with us very shortly.

My sympathies to all those who have lost their saved games.

Thanks bro, I appreciate it.  I'm no boot-licker, but I also have to give credit where credit is due.  Hell yeah I'm pissed, but I'm trying to deal with it appropriately instead of letting the anger get the better of me.  Do I want compensation of some sort?  Hell yes!  I'm not going to ask for it, however, because I don't expect it to happen.  Don't expect anything can be done about it, really.  Anyway, I'm rambling and need to go take care of dinner.

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

what would be a great fix for this would be sorting out co op mode so it would be easyer to play. when joining a game we should only join games that are allowing co op instead of joining 100 games where the player is playing solo and doesnt want help.

also when starting a co op game with 2 people the only bosses that shouldent be there are the ones tha both agents have killed.

so if im player A and ive killed 15 bosses and player B joins and has only killed 5 the only ones that arent there are the ones we have both taken out in co op mode so that we know what we both have to do. i hope ive made sence here.

for anyone who has played GOW, like the cogtags. if one player hasnt got 1 specif cog tag they appear to both players so that they can help each other even though one player has allready done it the other player is not peanalised for not being at the same stage

its been a long day i hope this makes sense

Re: WARNING, DLC RESET MY GAME!

same things happened to me went on the key coop with a mate hosting he went offline i went on single player and bam newbie agent again, i just hope they can reset some of the skills by looking at the achievments you got and giving it back to you at that and also giving us all of the agility orbs and about 2/3 of the hidden orbs for the inconvenience since that looks like the average amount for mount ppl
